HOW TO GET TO CARLOFORTE:
By plane: there are low cost and scheduled RAYAN Air, EasyJet, Alitalia, Meridiana flight, from all over Italy and from abroad to Cagliari; from the airport you can reach Porto Vesme or Calasetta by taxi shuttle (reservation is needed-it takes about 1 h and it costs from 15 € to 30 € per person).
This is the cheapest and fast option (especially if well arranged in advance).
By car : there are ferryboat to Olbia, P. Torres, Cagliari and then you have to reach PortoVesme (Carbonia-Iglesias), leave the car in the park lot and take the little ferry to Carloforte (40 min). On the island you won’t need the car.
